Some 60 people chanting “We want justice” protested at the Ontario legislature yesterday over ethnic violence in central Afghanistan.
They are upset about an attack on Hazaras villagers last month allegedly led by the nomadic Kuchis that left villagers dead and homes burned.
The demonstrators accuse Afghan President Hamid Karzai of supporting the Kuchis.

They are calling on Canadian politicians to urge the Karzai government to intervene and stop what they call ongoing violence against Hazaras people.
They are also calling for Kuchis and the Taliban to get out of Behsud, the district where the attack occurred.
The protesters carried signs reading “We want peace and justice for Hazaras” and “Karzai stop supporting Kuchis to kill Hazaras.”
