Hundreds of eager brides-to-be came to the 2010 Bridal Conference at the Edmonton Expo yesterday to get ideas for their upcoming nuptials.
Vendors showcasing everything a wedding needs, from cake ideas to flowers to photography, were on hand to help.
“It’s about taking that day and making that fantasy you’ve always dreamed about become a reality,” said Gay Derk, owner of the show.
The event catered to all ladies on different budgets and at various stages of their wedding day planning.
Sarah Kallaghan already had plans for more than half of her special day already in place, but came out to find the finishing touches.
“We’re working on a budget, so that always makes things a bit harder, but things are going pretty well,” she said.
Brides also took advantage of two fashion shows, displaying wedding gowns and tuxedos, prize giveaways worth tens of thousands of dollars, and a free wedding planner.
