Ex-teacher accused of sexual exploitation

A former W.P. Wagner high school English teacher has been charged with sexual exploitation after his alleged victim reported him to police in June.

Sexual exploitation is a charge that’s laid against someone in a position of trust or authority over a young person from the ages of 14 to 18.

“Situations like this where we have a former school teacher who was entrusted with the care of a child, where that school teacher is alleged to have violated that trust, it’s concerning for all of us,” said Staff Sgt. Kent Henderson of the EPS Child Protection Section.

According to police, the victim was under the age of 18 at the time of the alleged offence.

“The alleged offence took place over the past three years,” Henderson said.

“Our investigation focused on a time in the fall of 2009 and then moved forward up to present day.”

Police arrested Brad Ashley Glenn, 35, on Wednesday. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Sept. 29.
