A former Park West Elementary teacher has been handed a conditional sentence for sexually assaulting two boys in the 1990s.
Scott Gordon Comeau, 39, of Bedford will spend eight months on house arrest and spent another eight months on an 11 p.m. curfew. He’s also been ordered to submit a DNA sample to the national databank, his name will be added to the national sex-offender registry, and he’ll have to complete a sex-offender treatment program. Comeau was sentenced Tuesday. He apologized in court.
The court heard how he lured two boys, both younger than 10, to his home by letting them play video games, then wrestled with them and put one of the boys on his lap. He quit his teaching job last summer and pleaded guilty to the charges.
