Expect slow evening commute in southwest

Calgarians should expect a slow ride home in the city’s southwest today after northbound Elbow Drive SW was shut down.

Crews are working on an emergency road repair at Elbow Drive SW and Malibu Road this morning and say it may last well into the afternoon rush-hour.

Officials are urging motorists to find alternate routes because it’s likely the drive home will be affected. A two-way traffic operation will be in place in the meantime.
