Explosives were found alongside marijuana and growing equipment during warrant searches of two locations say Gatineau Police, who yesterday still didn’t know what the explosives were intended for.

Two Gatineau residents now face multiple charges.

With help from MRC des Collines and Surete du Quebec officers, Gatineau Police executed search warrants at 507 Brebeuf St. and 1505 Rd. 105 Farrelton La Peche, where they allegedly found equipment for growing marijuana, 100 marijuana plants and the explosives, said Constable Isabelle Poirier.

Claude Paquin, 43, and Emie Tasse, 22, both of Gatineau, face charges for possession of explosives, possession of marijuana and possession for the purposes of trafficking.
