Frustrated motorists using the Fairview Overpass should brace themselves for more possible delays.
Starting today and through the weekend, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from daylight to dark on weekends. Normally, there is one in-bound lane and two out-bound lanes for traffic.
HRM traffic services said the reduction is to provide a safe buffer zone between traffic and steel sheet pile-driving activity immediately adjacent to the existing roadway.
The province is in the midst of a six-month construction project at the overpass.
