Family pleads for truck driver to come forward

The family of a man killed in a collision last month is pleading for the semi-driver involved to come forward.

Last month 32-year-old Ryan Wald was killed when his pickup truck smashed into the back of a semi-truck on Glenmore Trail and 52 Ave. SE, and his widow, Jennifer, and brother Christopher spoke publicly yesterday.

“We know what happened and nothing is going to change the outcome but there is just that last piece of the puzzle we need to make it make more sense,” Jennifer said.

“It’s on our mind all the time, so any truck that goes by, you know you have to take a look. It’s just part of daily living it seems now,” Christopher added.

Police initially believed the driver wasn’t aware he was involved in the collision but now believe the driver may have known, according to traffic section Sgt. Graeme Ramsay.
