FBI arrests Saudi student in George W. Bush bomb plot

A 20-year-old Saudi student attending a Texas college has been arrested by the FBI on allegations of plotting bombings against the U.S., the Department of Justice announced earlier today.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, a business major at Lubbock’s South Plains College, allegedly planned to blow up the Dallas home of former president George W. Bush, as well as dams, nuclear power plants and dance clubs.

Aldawsari first came under suspicion when a supply company informed the government that he had ordered large quantities of chemicals needed to produce explosives. The FBI reports that he has no ties to known terrorist organizations.
