For the first time, Calgary will celebrate its resilient and powerful women at the Fearless Women Day event on Thursday.
Hosted by Global TV’s Cara Fullerton, the 7 to 10 p.m. event at The District on 11 Avenue will announce Calgary’s first Fearless Woman award, feature spoken word artists, and encourage mingling and networking.
“Incredible, vibrant, dynamic women will have an opportunity to meet other like-minded women and have some fearless fun,” said event organizer Kari Dunlop, who expects 200 to attend.
Tickets are $40, which include wine and appetizers, and can be purchased at inspiringleaders.ca. Proceeds will support Brown Bagging It and the National Council of Women of Canada.
