A telephone helpline run by Feed Nova Scotia is expanding, the group announced Thursday.
Previously accessible to children and youth, the helpline has now been expanded to provide a provincewide parental support service.
“By making the service available provincewide, more families and individuals will have access to the resources and information they need to support our children and young people” said Robert Wright, executive director of the province’s Child and Youth Strategy.
The helpline will also be doubling its working hours in the coming months, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Parents can reach the toll-free line by calling 1-877-521-1188 province-wide, or calling 421-1188 in the Halifax area.
