Album: Feel The Fire
Dierks Bentley is one of the young hatless stars to emerge out of Nashville since Keith Urban broke the Music City mold.
Bentley continues to work a successful formula — a blend of hard-drinking outlaw country rock for the crackers (Life On The Run), bedroom ballads for the womenfolk (I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes) and some bluegrass banjo for those who like to think of themselves as traditionalists.
Hoping to capture some of the spirit of his hit What Was I Thinkin’, Bentley even reintroduces the girl with “the white tank top” in the drink-til-you-fall-down track, Sideways. But he seems to do everything a little bit better on Feel The Fire.
The guitar jams are more extended, ballads more heartfelt and the pickin’ a little prettier.
