A driver is dead and two other people seriously injured after a fiery crash between a bucket truck and a minivan that closed Russell Road yesterday.

Both vehicles were on fire when paramedics arrived at the scene of the collision at 6921 Russell Rd., between Carlsbad and Milton roads, at 2:55 p.m. yesterday. The driver of the minivan was trapped in the burning vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
