Spanish fans bent the rules at a Halifax bar yesterday, celebrating their victory by dancing on tables and chairs, throwing people in the air and drinking excessive amounts of beer.
“The atmosphere was totally unbelievable,” said Brad McDonald, sporting a Spain jersey and scarf.
“Like anybody else would say, I feel unbelievable.”
More than 200 people packed the bar yesterday to watch the gold medal match.
Tamara Kaaki was glowing after partaking in one of many thunderous victory screams shared by Spanish fans.
“It was amazing. They played so well and they deserve it so much.”
