Finkelstein’s favourite cook? His little girl

Paul Finkelstein

Paul Finkelstein is the host of Fink airing Tuesday nights on the Food Network.

Q: What is your fondest memory from your family kitchen?

A: When we were growing up my father used to make big batches of burgers and freeze them. With his passing this past summer, my mother saved the last burger for my niece Helen because of her fondness for them and her special connection to her Poppa.

Q: What kitchen aromas bring back fond memories?

A: Natural gas blended with chicken stock. When we used to visit my grandparents house that combination was the first to hit the senses as we walked in.

Q: Who is your favourite cook?

A: My five-year-old daughter is daily mixing together different concoctions for us to try. She is creative, on the cutting edge and not tied to any style. Eating her dishes is always a culinary adventure!

Q: What is your favourite food to cook?

A: I just love the aromas during the cooking process of brisket and the flavours of the finished product. Also, potato latkes, my daughter Ella loves them.
