Talk about money as step towards better spending

If the subject of money ever comes up, do you: a) cringe b) immediately change the subject c) down your martini as fast as possible or d) all of the above?

Talking about money can be more awkward than running into your ex and his new girlfriend as you exit the hot yoga studio.

When was the last time you dared to ask your best friend how much money she makes? Or how much money she spends in a month? If you are one of the rare people who have, we bet it created an awkward moment at the very least. Well, those times are about to change.

We know there are a lot of people that are in the same situation we were two years ago, before we started our money club, with maxed out credit cards and revolving lines of credit.

Talking about money sounded painful and the idea of learning about money seemed pointless.

But the problem was that our financial situations were getting worse and we knew that we needed help. Surprisingly, we discovered that talking about money was not as traumatizing as we had imagined, but rather a huge relief.

Most people have no idea how much money they are spending or bringing in each month. The first step, however, in getting your money in order is to start talking about it.
