Five men were taken to hospital early Sunday morning after being stabbed in two separate fights in East Vancouver.
The first incident happened at a house party near 18th Avenue and Nootka Street, said Insp. John Grywinski.
“A group of young males had attempted to crash the party and a fight ensued,” he said.
Three men were stabbed in the face. A fourth victim was stabbed in the abdomen and rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
No suspects were arrested.
Less than an hour later, police were called to Brunswick Street and East 5th Avenue where a man had been stabbed in the head.
Police arrested a suspect nearby.
All five victims are expected to make a full recovery, police added.
