>> Mark Yetman: Soft goals were a common occurrence in the regular season, but Yetman has given the Mooseheads the best stretch of consistent, big-save goaltending they’ve seen all year — and he’s looking better every game.
>> Peter-James Corsi: Sure, the 19-year-old centre had four goals and three assists, but he also did a lot of little things well. His 51.5 faceoff percentage is impressive given the Screaming Eagles’ proficiency in the circle, and he was particularly strong in last-minute, leading-by-a-goal situations.
>> Guillaume Monast: Monast may have suffered through a mid-season lull, but his strong play as No. 2 in command on Halifax’s blue-line has helped solidify the defence corps. He led the team with a plus-6 and 14 hits against Cape Breton.
>> Brad Marchand: He didn’t do much in Games 3 and 4 in Sydney, but still managed a 10-point series with his dominant play at the Metro Centre. His 15 assists among 18 points leave him tied for third in Q scoring, while he is only four assists shy of Stuart MacRae’s franchise record of 19.
>> Andrew Bodnarchuk: If the league kept track of ice time, it’s a certainty that Bodnarchuk’s Game 3 triple-overtime total would have been eye-popping. He has cut down on turnovers in the post-season and is getting the job done defensively, while the team has followed his hard-working example.
