Toyota Canada has just announced that for 2010, the FJ Cruiser has adopted an upgraded more powerful and fuel efficient engine, and improved suspension tuning and power steering.

“As with the legendary Land Cruisers that inspired it, the Toyota FJ Cruiser has developed an enthusiastic and loyal following of owners who value maximum capability and utility to help realize their adventures — from deep woods camping and back country skiing to navigating the urban jungle,” said Warren Orton, director at Toyota Canada Inc.

“This year we’ve made some great changes under the hood to deliver more power with less fuel required and enhanced suspension and steering. The result: the 2010 FJ is even more capable on the trail, yet equally comfortable to drive on the pavement.”

Also available for the 2010 model is a brand new colour, Army Green.

The new Cruiser with six-speed manual transmission carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at $31,500.
