Fog hindered pilot: Report

Dense fog prevented the pilot from seeing until it was too late, said the final report into a 2008 B.C. plane crash that killed seven, injured one.

The report, released yesterday by the Transportation Safety Board, said poor visibility and poor judgement contributed to the crash on Thormanby Island off the Sunshine Coast.

Reportedly, the pilot regularly flew in weather conditions other pilots deemed too dangerous.

Before takeoff, the passengers agreed to fly in the poor conditions.

Incorrect weather information also contributed to the crash, says the report.
