Food bank hopes to fill buses, stomachs

It is time again to give food a ride to help those in need.

The Edmonton Food Bank has once again kicked off its annual Stuff a Bus campaign, in hopes of raising enough food and money to feed the hungry over the holiday season.

“It is kind of one of those big pushes going into the holiday season,” said Tamisan Bencz-Knight, spokeswoman for the Edmonton Food Bank.

This year, the campaign is hoping to raise 30,000 kilograms of food. It runs from Nov. 21 to 27.

Over the holiday campaign, the food bank is hoping to raise $900,000 and 240,000 kilograms of food.
