Foot not removed by force, RCMP says

The remains of another human right foot, the fourth found on B.C. shores in the last year, was not removed by force, according to RCMP investigators.

The foot, discovered in a shoe on Kirkland Island last week, was examined by the B.C. Coroners Service. Preliminary findings have shown no evidence the foot was severed, the same conclusion as the previous three incidents.

A local man, Kevin DeCock, told CTV News he believes the feet could belong to his two brothers, who, along with three others, died in a plane crash near Quadra Island in 2005.

Const. Annie Linteau said DNA tests have determined the gender of the person whose foot it is, but she will not release that information until the police investigation ends.
