Nova Scotia is set to open the Football Canada Cup in Wolfville on the weekend.

The event, which brings together the top under-18 gridiron talent from across the country, opens Sunday at Raymond Field with eight teams from seven provinces.

Nova Scotia faces Alberta at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, just following the opening ceremonies, the second of four games scheduled for the first day of action.

The second day of action is Wednesday, while the event concludes on Saturday, July 17, with the placement games.
