Mayoral candidate and high school football coach Rob Ford behaved like a “bully” in a 2004 controversy over his decision to welcome two students to his team who were deemed ineligible by the ruling sport body, say officials who dealt with the dispute.

Shortly after Ford became football coach at Don Bosco, controversy swirled about ineligible players who had transferred there from Etobicoke Collegiate.

The two players transferred after their grades were so low at Etobicoke Collegiate they were deemed ineligible to play there, says then-principal Ron Ellis.
