Forgotten Felines charged with forgetting felines

The owner of a shelter for abused and neglected cats called Forgotten Felines is facing charges for allegedly doing just that — forgetting about the cats in her care.

Decomposing cats were found on the property of Penny March after the B.C. SPCA received numerous complaints last October.

Eileen Driver, a senior animal protection officer with the B.C. SPCA, said the scene was “appalling.”

“The cats were suffering from life-threatening neglect and many were in critical condition,” she said.

Nearly 50 cats were removed from the property and only 36 survived.
