Neil Young fans have learned that the Winnipeg-raised legend creates music on his own terms, for better or worse. He’s had a few head scratchers in his career, and his latest is another curious creation. The disc is mostly about driving fuel efficient cars and environmentalism, but bail outs, greed and general economic woes factor in too. If you can get past some of the odd lyrics, it’s actually not a bad listen. There are some classic Young grunge moments and folk numbers, and while most of his other work is better, this is still a thought-provoking listen.
