Former Halifax Mooseheads forward Bryce Swan has earned another shot at an NHL contract, this time with the Minnesota Wild.
The 21-year-old St. Francis Xavier X-Men forward will play for the Wild at an NHL prospects tournament in Traverse City, Mich., in September. He had an unsuccessful tryout with the Detroit Red Wings last season after turning down a pair of contract offers from the Anaheim Ducks, who drafted him 38th overall in 2006.
