David Gilbert, a former top draft choice of the Halifax Mooseheads, was dealt from the Quebec Remparts to the Bathurst Titan in a three-way trade yesterday.
Bathurst first sent a third-round pick to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar for forward Christopher Giroux, then sent Giroux and three draft picks to Quebec for Gilbert and three picks.
Gilbert, 18, was drafted sixth overall by Halifax in 2007 but never played for the team. He was traded to the Remparts in December 2007.
The Titan also dealt goalie Nicholas Champion and a first-round import pick to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for forward Zach O’Brien and a second-round pick in 2010 and first-round picks in 2010 and 2011.
