An autopsy has determined the mother and daughter found dead in a Carleton Place home Sunday, died as a result of foul play, police said yesterday.
OPP officers are investigating the deaths of 25-year-old Kerry Freda Walters and her 11-month-old daughter Starla as homicides.
Police said they seized a weapon from the residence during the investigation.
The body of Kerry Walters’ husband, 28-year-old Lennox Walters, was located in Montreal. His death is under investigation.
The family, which had recently moved to Carleton Place in April from Cold Lake, Alta., had been reported missing by a family friend on Saturday.
