Halifax Regional Police said they arrested four boys Friday night after a teenage girl was shot twice by a pellet gun in north end Halifax.

The attack happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Tim Hortons on Lady Hammond Road, police said, adding the victim and her two friends walked out of the coffee shop to meet up with a group of teenage boys.

“As they walked outside, the female was struck in the head with a pellet,” Halifax Regional Police said in a report released Saturday. “She ran to the area of Jenny’s Pub and the males followed her. She was struck again with a pellet.”

Officers took the boys into custody and seized the pellet gun soon after, police said.
