Police said the occupants exited and two of the suspects rushed at the male armed with batons demanding that he empty his pockets. A struggle ensued, but the victim was able to write the vehicle plate information down and provided it to police.
Police arrested the suspects a short distance away and recovered the weapons.
Jamie Boudreau, 18, of Ottawa, is charged with robbery, possession of weapons dangerous, assault and uttering threats. Three teens, ages 15, 16 and 17, also face charges. They appear in court next month.
