Four teens arrested for candy store robbery

Ottawa police said Wednesday they have charged three adults and one young offender in relation to a confectionery robbery on Feb. 18 on Quill Street.

At 9:50 p.m., four masked suspects entered the store and stole a quantity of cash and other items, along with the employee’s vehicle, police said. The vehicle was later recovered nearby.

Responding patrol officers, including a canine officer, arrested one suspect shortly after the robbery, with three additional arrests made the next day.

The majority of the stolen property was recovered.

Police charged four suspects with robbery, wear disguise during commission of offence and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Al-Hassan Ramadan, 18, Josh Mousseau, 18, Abdo Yousuf, 18, and a 15-year-old were released with custody, with the adults appearing in court on March 18.
