Fourth arrested in human trafficking ring

<p>Police in Toronto have charged a fourth suspect in an alleged human trafficking ring. Investigators say women were lured to Canada from Eastern Europe under the pretext of working as models.</p>

Investigators say women were lured to Canada from Eastern Europe under the pretext of working as models.

 


Artur Tomchin, 35, of Toronto, and Andrei Khazarov, 39, and Daniel Leshinsky, 38, both of Thornhill, Ont., were arrested Friday and are scheduled for bail hearings today.



A woman, Volha Venar, 35, of Toronto, has since been arrested and charged with several offences, including trafficking in persons, exploitation and procuring a person to become a prostitute.
