Gang task force issues warning

The family and associates of two brothers who were arrested on weaponscharges could be in jeopardy, warned B.C.’s gang task force.

The family and associates of two brothers who were arrested on weapons charges could be in jeopardy, warned B.C.’s gang task force.

In a release Saturday, the B.C. Integrated Gang Task Force said there have been ongoing threats of murder toward Jarrod Bacon, 25, Jamie Bacon, 22, one other Bacon family member and some associates.

“A number of family members, associates and the Bacons have been informed of the ongoing threats, however, investigators are concerned that other associates, not as yet identified by police, are unaware of the threats and are at risk,” said Sgt. Shinder Kirk in a release.

Jarrod and Jamie were arrested Saturday afternoon on weapons charges with the assistance of Surrey RCMP and Vancouver’s emergency response team. The arrest, at Willingdon Avenue and Canada Way, was without incident.
