Grey Line (www.grayline.ca) offers a two-hour Hop On Hop Off Discover the Capital Tour, where tourists can see the town aboard London-style double-deckers or turn-of-the-century trolleys. The tour —which allows people to hop on and off — is led by award-winning guides.

For those who prefer to see the capital on their own steam, Ottawa Walking Tours (www.ottawawalkingtours.com) offers several tours, including the popular two-hour Historical Highlights Walking Tour, which stops at Parliament Hill, the National War Memorial, the Supreme Court, Sparks Street and Major's Hill Park to name a few.

Art lovers will want to check out Ottawa Walking Tours new walk, The Art Walk, which starts in June. The Art Walk will focus on the important statues and works of art found within Ottawa's downtown core.
