Get face time with the wedding industry at Toronto bridal shows

Toronto is playing host to a number of bridal shows this month that will have you covered from engagement to honeymoon.

These shows are a great opportunity to meet the industry in person, says Catherine Lash of the Wedding Co., which annually presents The Wedding Show at the Carlu.

“A large part of your wedding is spent dealing with a supplier for quite a period of time, so to actually meet with someone face-to-face gives you a really good sense of what your relationship is going to be like.”

Running from Jan. 15 to 17, the show will feature 115 exhibitors.

Here are some other bridal shows this month:

Canada’s Wedding Expo: This year’s event features a seminar on hair and makeup by Niko Cosmetics. In addition to three casting calls for new reality TV shows, one of them, Wedding Saviors, will also be filming a live wedding at the event. Runs Jan. 16-17 at Toronto Congress Centre North.

National Bridal Show: Along with hundreds of exhibitors, you can check out the onsite fashion shows. The show also gets eco-conscious with a Green Weddings feature and The Brides’ Project booth, where attendees can bring gently used bridal gowns that will be recycled for sale. Register for free admission at nationalbridalshow.com or at the show. Runs Jan. 22-24 at Direct Energy Centre.
