Mix up some colour co-ordination this summer by bringing a dose of the outside inside.

Sky blues, grassy greens and sunshine yellows — this is the time to go bold with colour, whether straight up, or in pretty patterns or flirty florals.

Sebastien Fauteux, general merchandising manager for Urban Barn, said it’s easy to freshen up an interior for summer.

“A pop of colour really goes a long way,” said Fauteux, in town recently from Vancouver. “Painting a wall can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to go far.”

He said iconic items shrouded in whimsy are popular this season, such as the colourful Buddhas at Urban Barn. The smiling statues give off a joyous vibe.
