Getting fresh at Grand Parade

City hall is once again ripe for the picking.

Some vegetables and herbs planted by Mayor Peter Kelly and a group of pre-schoolers in Grand Parade are ready to be harvested.

Kelly and the toddlers will present the produce to Mel Boutilier, the director of the Parker Street Food Bank, at a press conference Friday.

According to the mayor’s office, the garden is believed to be a first in the 261-year history of Grand Parade.
