If you’ve ever wanted an excuse to grow a handlebar or Fu Manchu moustache, now is your chance.

Today kicks off the first day of Movember, an international month-long campaign where men grow creative moustaches to raise money for prostate cancer research.

Dylan Tomlin, 25, is participating with a team from work at B.C. Hydro.

"Moustaches are not the fashion of the day so (this) shows a commitment to something you may not want to do," he said. "It’s a little harder to do than just growing a beard or mullet."

Jon Sanders, 24, raised $300 for the cause last year.

"I’m hoping to blow that out of the water this year," he said. "Who wouldn’t want to grow a killer stache and help fight prostate cancer at the same time?"
