Not sure how you want to spend your vacation? Greater Fort Lauderdale has created an app to help you out. Called Mild to Wild, the mobile site offers suggestions on how to spend a day in the city — named America’s Favourite Gay Resort Town by gay.com.
A “mild” experience could include a morning excursion to the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum, an afternoon of pampering at Planet Massage, and an evening dinning at Da Campo Osteria at Il Lugano.
“Wild” options include morning surfing, an afternoon with the ‘gators at Billie Swamp Safari, and a late night spent at Boardwalk Bar.
The Mild to Wild mobile site also includes suggestion based on the days you are planning so spend in the city, so you can customize your trip.
Greater Fort Lauderdale has more than 150 gay-owned businesses, and is home to the Wilton Manors — known locally as the gaybourhood.
Any trip to the city isn’t complete without a visit to Sabastian Beach — located at the junction of Sabastian Street and the A1A. Can’t find it? Look for the group of guys in speedos.
