Meet the driver
- Who is he? Toronto-based comedian Christian Smith is one-fifth of the award-winning comedy troupe The Riot.
- What he drives: A “stunning” silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Am with a charcoal interior.
Why the Grand Am: My dad bought it for himself and I just ended up driving it all the time and then I started paying insurance for it and paying more money for it and then one day I paid for half the car and then on my following birthday he gave it to me.
What do you love most about it? Apart from the awesome wing on the back, I love every bit of it equally. I’m not biased towards any part of her.
Have you taken any road trips in her? The Riot travels as a troupe to different venues around Ontario. We’ve also driven (the Grand Am) to Halifax and Montreal to do some stuff. She’s kind of like our tour bus. And we load the car up with props when we have shows around Toronto.
