A number of spectators at next summer’s HSBC Celebration of Light will have a front row seat of the fireworks — for a small fee.
The parks board has approved 1,000-person bleachers to be installed on the shorefront near the English Bay bathhouse.
“This was part of a proposal … to make the show financially sustainable,” said Aaron Jasper, parks board chair.
The 2011 Celebration of Light will also be reduced to three days from four: July 30, and Aug. 3 and 6.
