Grey Cup tickets are going like gangbusters.

As of Wednesday, ticket sales for the 98th Grey Cup game on Nov. 28 reached 52,741.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday, and already sales are getting close to the over-60,000 capacity for Commonwealth Stadium.

“We are thrilled that football fans are as excited as we are,” said Duane Vienneau, executive director of the 2010 Grey Cup Festival Committee, in a release. “We encourage people to get their tickets as soon as possible so that they don’t miss out on this great annual Canadian sporting event.”

The prices for tickets range from $98 to $250 for the best seats in the house, and fans holding season tickets will receive a $25 discount.

“We also still have available Edmonton Eskimo season tickets that guarantee your same seat for the big game in November,” said Rick LeLacheur, co-chair of the Grey Cup committee, in a release. “However, we do recommend that people move fast on these tickets as well.”
