Michelle Lutz and Shawna Neustaedter enjoy there time with the guys in the Groom’s Room at the Wedding Fair held at the Roundup Centre this past weekend.

It was an affair to remember yesterday at the 30th annual Wedding Fair as brides and grooms alike took in the fashion show — and a little pre-Super Bowl football action.

The 2008 Wedding Fair featured a Groom’s Room, but men weren’t the only ones taking in the football action and munchies.

Football fan and bride-to-be Shawna Neustaedter had a couple beers with her bridesmaid Michelle Lutz, while watching the New England Patriots take on the San Diego Chargers.

“We visited stuff for a bit but at kickoff time it was all about football. I probably wouldn’t even have come today until I found out they had a men’s tent with the game on,” Neustaedter told Metro.

Her friend agreed, “There are a lot of women here but this is where we want to be. It’s all about the playoffs!”

While the Groom’s Room was the hit of the show with massages, munchies and sports, the fashion show was also a big hit with the almost 2,000 brides alone.

Show manager Kathie James said this year’s Wedding Fair at the Roundup Centre was one of the best ever.

“We have had a phenomenal turnout. It’s almost our best ever; it’s been great and a lot of fun. We have grooms, brides, moms, dads, bridal parties and kids. Everyone is here,” she said.
