Melvin Roberts’ guilty plea in Amherst provincial court rang loud and clear yesterday afternoon.

Roberts, 35, entered the guilty plea to a manslaughter charge in the death of his 47-year-old uncle, Paul Douglas Arsenault.

Arsenault was found dead in a Queen Street apartment on June 6.

Roberts has been in custody since June 6, the same day emergency personnel were called to the two-storey, four-unit building on Queen Street around 1:30 a.m. Arsenault was a tenant in the building, however wasn’t living in the unit in which he was found.
