A provincewide gun amnesty program for the month of April wraps up on Friday. The joint initiative between the RCMP and municipal police forces saw more than 100 firearms and several hundred rounds of ammunition turned in to police at the midway point. Anyone wanting to surrender a firearm or ammunition can do so by contacting any RCMP or municipal police office. Due to public safety reasons, police say no firearms or ammunition can be brought in to a police office.
