Guns, drugs and explosives found inside an east-end storage unit last week have police looking for a 25-year-old man believed to be somewhere in the GTA.

Police found an unspecified number of explosives, 10 guns — including handguns and a submachine gun — “several hundred rounds of ammunition” and drugs at one of several units broken into at Access Storage on July 4, Toronto police Det. John Moreira said yesterday.

He said there’s “nothing to suggest” the find is gang related.

The number or kind of explosives found hasn’t been released, but it’s not often police find explosives “the way they were bundled and prepared,” Moreira said.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Steven Duong, who police allege had “care, control and knowledge” of the storage unit at Kennedy Road near Steeles Avenue. He is wanted on 47 firearm and drug-related charges.

Anyone with information should contact police at 416-808-2510 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 or www.222tips.com.
