‘Half-baked bandit’ hits once again

Suspect

Edmonton detectives believe a serial robbery suspect they’ve dubbed the ‘Half-baked bandit’ has struck again. The suspect, who was given the nickname because of earlier robberies involving bakeries, struck another bakery Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. near Terwilliger Drive and Rabbit Road.

Police say the man approached staff in the business with a hammer, demanding cash before running away on foot after getting the loot. Officers conducted a ground search of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Detectives believe this is now the 18th robbery involving the suspect. He’s described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet with a slender build.
