Halifax again ranked 14th best place to live in Canada

For the second-straight year, Halifax has finished at No. 14 in MoneySense magazine’s best places to live in Canada.

For the second-straight year, Halifax has finished at No. 14 in MoneySense magazine’s best places to live in Canada.

There are 179 cities and towns across the country on the list based on populations over 10,000 people. Cities were rated on climate, prosperity, access to health care, home affordability, crime rates and lifestyle.

Halifax was one of five areas in Nova Scotia to make the list. Kentville came in at 122, Truro at 160, Cape Breton at 169 and New Glasgow at 177.

Top spot went to Ottawa-Gatineau, followed by Kingston, Ont., and Burlington, Ont. Fredericton and Moncton, N.B., rounded out the top five.
