Halifax man pleads guilty to two robberies

HALIFAX – A Halifax man has pleaded guilty to robbing two banks on Jan. 17.

Timothy Edward Walsh of Herring Cove Road entered the pleas Wednesday in Halifax provincial court.

A Canada-wide warrant for Walsh’s arrest was issued last week.

Court heard he robbed a Scotiabank in Halifax and a TD Canada Trust bank in Dartmouth two hours later.

Walsh was arrested Jan. 18 in the Moncton area.

He will return to court Feb. 16 for sentencing.
